Help us reach our 2019-20 goal of $55,000!
Dear Friends of Raphael Village,
I am writing today to ask for your support of the amazing things that go on at Raphael Academy and The Guild at Raphael Village. Day in and day out our students and adults walk into a place where they feel loved, accepted, and challenged to do and be their personal best.
Classrooms at the academy are abuzz with lively main lessons such as Measurement, Human Anatomy, and the Age of Discovery. Laughter and song fills the air as children and teachers navigate the hallways. Because we offer the lowest teacher-to-student ratio in the city, each child has an individualized plan tailored to their academic ability. Our hands-on, practiced-oriented approach to education gives the teacher the flexibility to engage each student not only through the mind, but also through their senses. Tuition alone cannot pay for this level of individualized instruction, therefore YOUR donation to our Annual Giving Campaign is critical. Your support of our small group instructional model will make a profound difference in the life of each and every child at Raphael Academy and open doors that can seem inaccessible for children with disabilities.
Additionally, all too often, adults with disabilities leaving the traditional school setting are ill-prepared for the next phase in life, and few programs are able to adequately assess their individual skills and personal interests. The Guild at Raphael Village encourages its members to work on developing greater independence, to participate in vocational training, and to be actively engaged in the community at large. This takes time, commitment and attention to the needs of each individual we serve. This is where YOU come in! We ask for your support of our Annual Giving Campaign to help offset the costs associated with providing small group instruction at The Guild by highly qualified and experienced staff who are dedicated to our members and their bright futures.
Raphael Village exists to transform dreams into reality and to inspire persons with disabilities to achieve their personal best, so that good may become.
